Winners of the Ghana Tertiary Awards – Republic Hall, Ahuof3 Patri & others


The Ghana Tertiary Awards was held yesterday, 10th January 2015, at the La Palm Beach Hotel, to honor influential tertiary students who had impacted society through various fields of endeavor, for the year 2014.

Organizers of the award scheme, Youth Web Entertainment, hope by rewarding folks who have impacted society, it will serve as a morale booster as well as serve as a catalyst of inspiration for others to achieve similar or greater feats.

Students from up to 23 different tertiary institutions in Ghana were nominated for awards in 19 categories (view full nominee list here).

The University of Ghana, Legon, had the highest number of nominations, with 10 out of the 19 categories. UCC, the second highest, had nominations in 8 categories, GTUC had nominations in 7 categories, KNUST, Central, A-Poly, and GIJ had 5, UDS, Knustford, and NAFTI had 4, UPSA, and Tardi Poly had 2, and Regent, Kings College, Wisconsin, Kumasi Poly, Ho Poly, Koforidua Poly, All Nations, Presbyterian Uni, UCOMS, Pentecost Uni, and Regional Maritime all had nominations in just one category each.

Among the list of winners was University of Ghana’s Jason EL-Agha, TV presenter for GHone TV and KNUST’s DJ Aroma, with the topmost award, Most Influential Student of the Year, going to Ahuof3 Patri of NAFTI

Most Influential Student in MUSIC – Mz Vee (Ghana Telecom University College)

Most influential student in ENGINEERING – Amanda Agyeiwaa (KNUST)

Most Influential Student in ACTING – Priscilla Opoku (Ahofe Patri) – NAFTI
