Vice President of the University of Ghana debate society, Richard Adu Poku has stated that his outfit will be aiming to win the 8th Pan African Universities Debate Championship.

The 8th Pan African Universities Debate Championship (PAUDC) dubbed, ‘Legon 2015’ which is to be held at the University of Ghana (UG), Legon, from December 8 to 17 2015. The debate championship is being organized by the University of Ghana under the auspices of the University of Ghana Sports Directorate together with the University of Ghana Debate Society.

It will see university students from Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Gambia, Ghana, Lesotho, Liberia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo and Zimbabwe battle for supremacy.

Speaking on Accra based Radio Univers this morning; Mr. Adu Poku also stated that he is satisfied with support from management.

“the support we are getting from management couldn’t be any better, we have really had tremendous support. Starting from the beginning of this very month, the school started with its normal feeding. Also , talk about the coach, we have been with the coach the whole of this semester, so we have really been having good training unlike we have seen in previous times where we train ourselves”

Mr. Adu-Poku also added that team UG will be aiming to win the tournament.

“we are not just participating to make up the competition but really we have a target of winning this particular competition. We are in to win this competition”.
