Nana K. A. Prempeh has been adjudged the winner of this year’s #360 Writers Challenge. His writing was considered the best out of a total of 110 submissions. He will receive GHc 2,500 as cash prize,a laptop, a phone with credit and a free French session.
“While I am applauded for winning, my spirit applauds friends and mentors like Nana Yaa Asantewaa Asante-Darko and Michael Agyapong for making me a winner,” he said.
The first-runner up, Michael Nyamison, is a student of the University of Ghana at the School of medicine and Dentistry. He will walk home with GHC 1,000 as cash prize, a tablet, and a phone with credit. While the third place winner,Kofi Donkor-Aidoo,a medical student at KNUST, will receive GHC 500 as cash prize and credit.
The #360WritersChallenge seeks “to find the best student writers enrolled in tertiary institutions across Ghana.”
The 2016 writers challenge is in partnership with the Writers Project of Ghana and sponsored by Alliance Française, Stanbic Bank Gh, CitiFM, and iSpace Ghana, according to its website, www.threesixtygh.com.
