The Registrar, Mrs Mercy Haizel-Ashia launched the UG Employability Hub (E-Hub) on Thursday, 17th September, 2015 at the Jubilee Hall. The E-Hub, a joint effort between the Counselling & Placement Centre and ServAid Consultancy Limited, comes to add value to the services provided by the Centre.
The E-Hub is designed to equip students with skills that will not only make them highly employable, but also to emerge as game-changers in their chosen careers. It also operates an online platform that allows for interaction between students and prospective employers.
Launching the project, Mrs Haizel-Ashia encouraged students to take up this offer as it will boost their employability prospects.
Also present at the launch were representatives of industry such as Ms Tina Muparazi of Airtel Ghana, Mr. Francis Danyi of GCB, Major General Andy Osei Okrah of The Forestry Commission and Ms Grace Kuwornu of Ecobank Ghana. Mr Ransford Bekoe also represented the Secretary General of the Association of African Universities while the occasion was interspersed with beautiful poetry performances from The Walk the Talk Club.
