University of Ghana Gets Highest Number of Nominations in the 2014 Ghana Tertiary Awards


The University of Ghana, Legon, has been nominated in 10 out of 19 categories in this year’s Ghana Tertiary Awards – the most nominations any school has had this year.

UCC, the second highest, had nominations in 8 categories, GTUC had nominations in 7 categories, KNUST, Central, A-Poly, and GIJ had 5, UDS, Knustford, and NAFTI had 4, UPSA, and Tardi Poly had 2, and Regent, Kings College, Wisconsin, Kumasi Poly, Ho Poly, Koforidua Poly, All Nations, Presbyterian Uni, UCOMS, Pentecost Uni, and Regional Maritime all had nominations in just one category each.

The categories in which University of Ghana was nominated include;

1) Most Influential Student of the Year (Top Most Award)

2) Most Influential Student MC (Male Catalog)
Represented by Jason Agha EL and Jay Kojo Dasebre

3) Most Influential Student in Music
Represented by Jason Agha EL

4) Most Influential Student Television Presenter (Male)
Represented by Jason Agha EL (GH-ONE) and Jay Kojo Dasebre

5) Most Influential Student Television Presenter (Female)
Represented by Broni (Lynx TV)

6) Most Influential Hall
Represented by Common Wealth Hall, Sarbah Hall and African Union Hall (Pentagon)

7) Most Influential SRC President
Represented by Joshua (SRC Vice President)

8) Most Influential Student in Fashion
Represented by Noir

9) Most Influential Student Writer/Blogger
Represented by Jepthah Osei Mensah

10) Most Influential Beauty Queen
Represented by Naa Oyoe Quartey (Miss Malaika)
