The University of Ghana Teaching Hospital is 65% complete. This is according to the Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Victor Bampoe.

The Deputy Minister on Saturday posted aerial shots of the hospital on his Facebook page.

He said the 597 bed teaching hospital is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.

The $217 million project is located on a 400 acre land behind the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research of the university.

It is being funded by a loan facility agreement between the Government of Ghana and the Government of Israel.

The hospital is expected to augment the training of about 1,000 doctors within 5 to 7 years.
