An interaction with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana Professor Ernest Aryeetey is always an interesting spectacle for observers. The seasoned economist aside leaving listeners spellbound with his brilliance on matters of management of University of Ghana leaves the media with sound bites that never get old, no matter the number of times it’s played. A classic example of such a sound bite is one that is played on Radio Univers each morning as a precursor to the famous morning show; Campus exclusive on week days. In that audio, a student of the Vandal City questions the VC about what he wants his legacy to be after he has left post. His response is interesting, that could be heard on campus exclusive.
I have longed for an opportunity to interact with this astute gentleman especially at a time when lots of issues are cropping up within the University. This happens to be the time when students while on vacation, have their ears on the ground, with their Bibles tightly held, praying that the school fees doesn’t rise too high for them to metaphorically climb.
Issues of infrastructural development, the 2015-2016 academic year admissions and the strategic plan of the University are all angles I will like to engage him on.
The opportunity has presented itself finally, being offered by the number one campus radio station, Radio Univers 105.7. Co-Host Caleb Kudah will play host to the Vice Chancellor of the nation’s Premier University on Monday at 8am on campus exclusive. I may not be sure of the meal I would have as breakfast before I tune in on Monday, one thing I can be certain of is to listen to Caleb Kudah do what he knows best; use his humor and in-depth understanding of contemporary university issues to make the discussion an exciting one.
The host is also inviting for questions from the public. Questions could be sent to Caleb via 0262512962 or 0262512963 or at email@example.com.
