The website of the Kwame Nkrumah University of
Science and Technology (KNUST), knust.edu.gh – was hacked by a Moroccan hacking squad.

The site takedown occurred around 1900 GMT Tuesday, and despite numerous reports the site hadn’t been restored for close to two hours. It remained down as at the time of this report.

When ugfile.com visited the website, knust.edu.gh at
press time, the website had been defaced with a
message by the hackers.

There was no specific reason given for the incident but
the hackers had left a link to their facebook page that
has information on the various websites it has defaced
overtime.

School authorities are yet to comment on the
development.

The Moroccan MujahiDeen Team, is a known group of
formidable web hackers based in Morocco.
The group’s members are unknown. Among their
famous exploitation was the hacking of the official
