H. E Bernard Amoh, the SRC President for the University for Development Studies, Wa Campus has cautioned the Presenters of ultimate radio to practice genuine journalism.
Speaking at the ribbon cutting ceremony which officially served as the commencement of the newly refurbished ultimate radio by the council. He said “due to the centralized nature of UDS, it is difficult to get approval for budget from the central administration in Tamale but with the help of the General Manager and the Vice Dean,Mr. Marshall Ziemah,we have finally gotten an approval to uplift ultimate radio”
In his brief address, the president cautioned the current Presenters to avoid affiliating themselves to the SRC/NUGS Aspirants for 2016/17 academic year
To the presenters he lamented “My little advice for you as radio ultimate presenters is ,I pray that, as this trimester being an election period, you will practice genuine journalism where media personnels would not be affiliated to hopefuls. I mean hopefuls because it was done to me and it wasn’t pleasant. So I am entreating you all not to go to bed with any hopeful inline with duty as an ultimate presenter, infact, since your manager is here, I have been telling him. Please, even if the hopeful is your brother, tell him to go back because you have to be free and fair as possible.”- He stressed emphatically.
H.E Bernard Amoh finally said the SRC will organize a capacity building workshop for all the Presenters and also assured them the SRC support in their tenth anniversary this year ,in February.
