University of Ghana Wins Inter Nursing School Competition, UNSAG Quiz

The University of Ghana School of Nursing has won the Southern Sector preliminary round of the University Nursing Students Association of Ghana (UNSAG) national quiz competition on Buruli Ulcer which took place on Tuesday 2nd October, 2015, at St. Karol School of Nursing with Dr Edwin Ampadu (WHO rep for Buruli Ulcer in Ghana) as the quiz master for the day.

The University of Ghana (UG), university of cape coast (UCC), Central University college (CUC), Valley View university(VVU), and the host St. Karol school of nursing were the participating schools.

After 3 rounds of keenly contested competition the final scores were as follows:

  • UG – 24 pts
  • St Karol – 21 pts
  • UCC – 19 pts
  • CUC – 18 pts
  • VVU –  13 pts

University of Ghana School of Nursing carried the day and qualifies with UCC and St. Karol to compete with Presbyterian University and Christian Service University from the Northern Sector at the grand finale of the UNSAG National Quiz Competition on Buruli Ulcer to be held at UNSAG Congress in November which would be televised live on GTV’s What Do You Know Show.

We say Congratulations to the University of Ghana School of Nursing and the Quiz Team comprising David Awini level 300, Bright Incoom Baasi level 300, Opoku Kojo level 300, Eric Amankona level 200, Maame Serwaa Arkoful level 200 and their facilitator Vice President Albert Kobina Yeboah.
