TINO Partners Univ. of Energy to Introduce Practical Delivery of Solar Energy Course

A renewable solar energy company, Tino Solutions Limited yesterday, 14th March, 2019, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani to boost the University’s quest in delivering practical renewable solar energy course to its engineering students.

As part of arrangements, Tino Solutions Limited, headquartered in Accra, would design and install two solar live systems (Off-Grid and Hybrid systems) with varied engineering models. This installation would be in the laboratory of the Engineering Department of the University.

This is aimed at enabling the students have hands-on training in the areas of renewable solar energy engineering, configuration and user experience. The solar setup would include panels, inverters, batteries, battery monitors, and many others which would be designed and installed to power the lightening systems of the laboratory.

In the meeting held at the Vice Chancellors office, the Business Bevelopment Manager of Tino Solutions Limited, Mr. Kennedy Kwaku Nyadzie reiterated the company’s intention to not just provide the University with quality European solar energy products for installations in the laboratory but to have a student-led design system. This system will be built together with the students as a means to grasping the practicalities of what they learn.

Also, as part of Tino Solutions Limited’s annual practical training workshop with international technical partners from the Netherlands, Austria and China, slots would be made available for selected students and teaching staff to partake and learn from the main manufacturers from Europe and Asia.

In addition, the company would supply the Department with Industry and product materials such as manufacturing manuals, datasheets, configuration manuals, etc.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Harrison K. Dapaah expressed gratitude to Tino Solutions Limited and deemed their collaboration a timely one as it would aid the University’s efforts to deliver practical lessons to its students.
