Suspected Thief Busted At Akuafo Hall

A middle-aged man has been arrested by students of the Akuafo Hall of the University of Ghana.

The man is alleged to have entered room 9 of the K block (main hall) at about 11:38 pm and stolen the trendy infinix phone belonging to Mr Samuel Essuman who was fast asleep.IMG-20160305-WA0003

In his attempt to sneak out of the room, Mr Essuman woke up. Upon seeing the escaping thief, he raised an alarm. Whereupon the suspected thief took to his heels. He was hotly pursued by students of the hall who shouted the usual “jullor ” ‘jullor” as they chased the sickly thief.

Luck eluded him as he dropped the phone at the Akuafo Annex A and fell heavily in front of the block.

He was easily arrested by the angry students some of whom gave him some choice whacks for his troubles.

He apologized to the students, stating that it was a mistake and that he should be forgiven in the name of God.
But the students did not forgive him IMG-20160305-WA0001.

Instead amidst arguments on whether or not he should be beaten to a pulp, he was sent to the porter’s lodge.

He is currently being dragged to the Legon Police Station.
