“Separate your person from your position” -Bernard Koku Avle

Ace journalist Bernard Koku Avle has urged secretaries of various groups in the University of Ghana to separate themselves from their positions.
He gave this piece of advice at a seminar organised by the SRC Secretarial committee to build the capacity of students serving as secretaries of various groupings on campus earlier this month.”Never argue with emotions.Treat issues at the intellectual level and learn to separate your person from your position,” he maintained.

Also speaking at the event was Amma Dadzie who spoke on the role of the secretary and secretarial work in the ICT age. She advised the secretaries to embrace technology as essential to their work.

Mr Solomon Botchway, head of IT at the Attorney General and Ministry of Justice trained the students in CV writing, business letter writing, report writing among others.
