CLED-Campaign For Learning Disabilities in collaboration with Enyidado Radio Station 98.7fm supported by Africa action have launched radio talk shows in the local language-Twi on learning disabilities and inclusive education to create awareness on children with learning disabilities, inclusive education and advocate for support services.

The first radio talk show took place on 27th February 2016 on the topics; what learning disabilities are, Causes, types and effects.

The radio discussion was held by Padmore Quansah, Moses Dickson (He has dyscalculia) and Rev. Bulletin.

As part of the campaign, CLED-Ghana will also give some handbooks to the radio station to aid in the advocacy. Subsequent radio talk shows will look at –the common learning disabilities, management, support services available and inclusive education policy of Ghana.

The radio talk show follow up calls indicated that parents, teachers and the public do see the signs of learning disability in their children but do not have knowledge of what to do to help them and where to seek help.

This is a step in the right direction towards achieving the F-CUBE policy of the Ghana government.
