LOPA WITHDRAWS ELECTION PETITION

LOPA Legon have withdrawn the petition they filed at the SRC Judicial Board, challenging the declaration of Daniel Otting Awuah as president elect of UG-SRC, citing ”new facts” as the reason for their decision.

Speaking to Ugfile, the President of the group, Daniel Amewor stated that the ”Petition has been withdrawn this morning on the rise of new facts that may damage the case”.

Daniel Otting Awuah won the Presidential runoff with a landslide 66.67% against his contender, Sylvester Amoako, who secured 33.33%.

The case was scheduled to be heard on Saturday, 30th May 2017 at 6:00pm before its withdrawal on the morning of the same day.
