The curtains have been drawn on the 2017 UG-SRC electoral process as Daniel Otting Awuah wins the nod to take over from the Esinam Afi Seade led administration with an overwhelming 66.67% in the Presidential runoff after leading in the first round with 47.48%.

The Electoral Commissioner, King-Nyamador Godwin declared the certified provisional results Thursday evening at the SRC Union Building.

Mr. Daniel Otting Awuah won with 3,412 votes representing 66.67% and Sylvester Amoako who scored 41.72% in the first round trailed Mr. Otting Awuah this time around with 1,706 votes, representing 33.37%.

Mr. Sylvester Amoako has however sent hints that he won’t accept the results and a court battle is in the air.
