S.R.C Presidency is not and will never be the end of life. It is so disheartening for facts about issues to be twisted to suit a group of people, who seek to claim political advantage over others. In the quest to twist facts, remember that whatever you start here on campus, be it negative or positive will follow you to the national level and at that level, the hearts of millions rest in your hands.
Many people, up till now, do not understand why we face many challenges in our daily lives, forgetting very well that the little mistakes we make today on campus is like a compounding investment. For instance, we speak against our national politics being based on tribalism, religion, negative propaganda etc., yet these same vices permeate our university campus politics during election periods.
Ladies and gentlemen, at the end of the day, it is not about whether Fobi fought Mikdad or Mikdad fought Fobi. At the end of the day, it is not about who petitioned E.C.G or not; t is not about who belongs to party A OR B; it is not about telling
lies to the good students of LEGON; it is not about going around twisting facts. Rather, who is competent enough to meet the vice chancellor to channel the frustrations of students; whose policies are realistic enough; and whose track
records shows green light.
I entreat fellow students to block their ears to petty issues as the ones circulating on social media and concentrate on the message each candidate brings to light.
MIKDAD OR FOBI, let the students decide.
God bless the University of Ghana.
