I will restore the waned Credibility and Reinforce our Role as servants – UDS SRC President

The current Central SRC President of the University For Development Studies, UDS on last Friday, 5th May, 2017 assured all students and other stakeholders of the University that, his administration is poised and determined to restore the lost hope in the Students’ Representative Council (SRC ). The “Focus Agenda” pusher also pledged to serve with values, morals, ethics, principles and pledged to create a unique and uniform vision that will serve as a lead to advocating the interest of the students hence his administration is ready to sacrifice their individual differences to the greater good of all students.

H. E Amoah Nketiah Ebenezer made these statements in his acceptance speech which she delivered during the Handing Over Ceremony of the Central SRC at the conference Hall “B” of Tamale Campus.

Mr. Amoah doubles as the SRC President of Nyankpala Campus and Central SRC President of the University that prides itself with development, UDS.

The University For Development Studies is a multi campus university with four campuses scattered across the three Northern Regions of Ghana. The campuses are; Nyankpala Campus which is the premier campus, Navrongo Campus, Wa Campus which is the most populated and entertaining campus and the Tamale Campus where the Central Administration is located. Each year, each of the four campuses of the University elects it’s own SRC/LNUGS executives but has one of the campuses elected executives as the Central SRC/NUGS Executives. This Central Seat rotates annually from one campus to the another. During the 2014/2015 Academic year, the Navrongo campus executives served as the Central executives. The 2015/2016 central executives were the Tamale executives, the 2016/2017 central executives were the Wa Campus executives and now, the 2017/2018 Central seat is at Nyankpala Campus. Apart from the Navrongo Campus whose election was faced with Court injunction, the other three campuses are done with their handing over ceremony at their various campuses. Wa Campus held theirs on Wednesday, the 3rd of May, 2017, Tamale Campus on Saturday 29th April, 2017 and Nyankpala Campus held theirs on Thursday, 27th April, 2017.

The Central Handing over Ceremony saw the attendance of all the SRC/LNUGS current executives from the various campuses of the university. H. E Mohammed L. A Jara and H. E Norbert Kipo, SRC President of Wa Campus and Tamale Campus respectively attended the ceremony. H. E Isaac Opoku Boateng (Bawumia Jnr) and H. E Dede Odonkor Michelle, the LNUGS President of Wa Campus and Tamale campus respectively were also present.

The 2016/2017 Wa Campus Executives led by H. E Nicholas Amoah were the central SRC/NUGS Executives and they handed over to the following below;

    Not all the current NUGS PRESIDENT were there, cos Wa campus LNUGS president was not invited to b part of the handling over. So i think ther
    e’s problem with the reportage. .
