The power plant that serves the University of Ghana Business School caught fire this afternoon.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown but it is likely to have resulted from an electrical fault the power plant has developed from over usage.
Because of the amount of academic work that goes on at the business school, the facility needs to be constantly supplied with power.
However, looking at the current state of the country with regards to power supply, one can only imagine the pressure that is put on the power plant to meet the energy needs of the business school.
The fire is therefore most likely to have been caused by an electrical fault that resulted from over usage of the power plant.
