DUES Holds A CV Clinic For University of Ghana Students

Databank Universal Economic School(DUES), Legon has today held a CV clinic for students of the university of Ghana at the SRC union building to equip participants with CV preparation, cover letters and interview skills.
In attendance were students from all departments across the university and speakers from SEO Africa and Databank.

DUES is a club of the University of Ghana with the national secretariat at Ridge founded on financial literacy, mentoring, volunteering and nation building. It was as part of this semester’s programs that the club held the CV clinic.

Speaking at the program, Ruth, former chair of the club took students through CV preparation techniques and the dos and don’ts as well as common errors of people. She advised students to adopt best practices so as to avoid trouble.

Also, Mr. Franklin Hiagbe from Sponsors of Education Opportunity (SEO) Africa emphasized on the points raised Ruth and took his presentation on the topic to another level by speaking on the current trend in of the use of email in sending applications. Students were marveled as he revealed unknown truths about CVs, applications and interview processes to them.

A team from Databank lead by Mr. Saviour also advised students on investments and providing some financial literacy he educated students on some investment opportunities making mention of the investment products of Databank like the Bfund, Mfund, Epack and Arkfund

After the speakers had finished there was an interactive session where students asked questions to clear their curiosity. Some students expressed their joy for the opportunity for a program like that to learn and equip themselves with skills for the future and asked for more
