Reports reaching Ugfile.com indicates that the recently held TEIN- legon elections have been nullified. This follows the confusions and shenanigans surrounding this year’s TEIN executive elections concerning an alleged unhealthy agenda to impose somebody on the group through a fake electoral register. The party took notice of this and invited all stakeholders to a meeting with the aim to resolve the issues but without success.
Consequently, they directed that the elections be suspended indefinitely until further directive. A fraction of the executives not enthused with the decision of the National/Regional Secretariat went on to organize the elections which some say, amounts to flouting of party constitution, rules and convention.
The party has therefore issued a directive that the said election has been liquidated or quashed in a statement dated 8th May, 2015 and copied to all stakeholders including the Dean of Students Affairs of the University of Ghana.
The statement further warned that anybody who benefited from such election and holds himself/herself up as Legon-TEIN executive for the 2015/2016 academic and political year shall be considered to be an imposter and shall be treated as such.
The current executives have been tasked to hold the front of the party until the expiration of their tenure in office on 24th May, 2015.
