Bolgatanga Training Institute closed down following demand by students for renovation of dormitories.

The Bolgatanga Technical Institute has been closed down following a demand by students that the dormitories of the school be renovated.
Speaking on Accra based, Radio Univers this morning, Principal of the Institute Mr.Thomas Amare explained that on Saturday a student had screamed that there was a fire outbreak; this caused students to dash out of the building. Some students got injured in the process. The injured students are receiving treatment at the Bolgatanga Teaching Hospital.
Mr.Amare revealed that despite attempts by the Municipal Director of Education to convince students to back down on their demands, the students still remained resolute in their demand.
