A trip down memory lane, in one of our practical lessons in physical education, we came face to face with the word agility -agile.
A word although not too new to some of us, its usage in physical education gave us cause to rethink its context in real life.
Agile defined literary as agility or nimbleness is the ability to change the body’s position efficiently, and requires the integration of isolated movement skills using a combination of balance, coordination, speed, reflexes, strength, and endurance.
In other words agility is the ability to think and draw conclusions quickly; intellectual acuity.
How relevant are these definitions to us today? Many a time in our lives, we come into contact with reality that requires that we take brisk, relevant and enduring decisions within a short period of time. Any indecision on our part will amount to an outcome we usually live to regret.
The world we live in today is a fast pacing word which requires that to keep at pace with this world one must be able to think and draw relevant conclusion quickly with intellectual acuity. Revolutionary ideas rule the world. So it is either you’re a ruler or the ruled. Either way is your decision to use the power deposited in your brain. Trust yourself, create the kind of person that you will be happy with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny sparks of possibility into flames of achievements. To Robert Albert Bloch, “Nature gave us two ends: one to to sit on and one to think with. Ever since then, man’s success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most.
So my brother be agile or risk becoming irrelevant.
