AMOAH WINS POSSA PRESIDENCY

Political Science students of the university of Ghana went to the polls today (26th April, 2017) to elect new set of leaders to take over from the Edmond Nkasa led administration. The voter turnout which was overly poor can be attributed to the apathy that has  plagued every other election held on the student front this year.

Below is the outcome of the provisional results declared by the Electoral Commissioner Dery Leviel George.

PRESIDENT
Total votes: 285
Total valid votes: 284
Skipped votes: 1
Dominic Amoah and Japheth Appah Bondzie
150 votes representing 52.82%

Atuahene Benjamin and Atuahene Ferdinard
134 votes representing 47.18%

GENERAL SECRETARY
Total votes: 285
Total valid votes: 267
Skipped votes: 18
AMOAH EMMANUELLA DORCAS had
254 yes votes representing 95.13% and 13 no votes representing 4.87%

TREASURER
Total votes: 285
Total valid votes: 267
Skipped votes: 18
DOMPREH EMMANUEL had 258 votes representing 96.63% and 9 no votes representing 3.47%

ORGANIZING SECRETARY
Total votes: 285
Total valid votes: 270
Skipped votes: 15
GAN JOCILYN had 263 votes representing 97.41% and. 7 no votes representing  2.59%

ELECTORAL COMMISSIONER
Total votes: 285
Total valid votes: 261
Skipped votes: 24
GYASI KWAME DANIEL had 244 votes representing 93.49% and 17 no votes representing 6.51%

As president and vice president, general secretary, treasurer, organizing secretary and electoral commissioner elect respectively.”

“NB All parties or anybody that has problems with the results have up to 48hours to make their concerns known or forever remain silent and we also have our peace.”

The communique also thanked all students that turned up to vote and congratulated all the parties for contributing toward a violence free election.
